AL NAFAY uses our commercial development resources to optimize engineering and design solutions for our customers. The ultimate goal is to make sure they have a package for their product that can be manufactured, is cost effective, and able to be sold.

Cube Optimization

• Cube utilization is a great way to positively affect multiple levels of the supply chain.  
• For example, a 10oz round can fit 164,736 bottles per 53' truck, while a 10oz square can fit 205,920 bottles per 53' truck.  This is a 25% increase in usable space on the truck, reducing the number of trucks needed to complete the order.

Weight Reduction 

• AL NAFAY continues to evaluate all packaging for light-weighting opportunities utilizing the latest in package design and machine technology.  We have successfully light-weighted many bottles of all shapes and of multiple resins.
• For example, AL NAFAY helped one customer with a glass to plastic packaging conversion in order to light-weight the package by 85%.  The design change saved over 700,000 pounds of virgin material annually.
