Energy - Saving Initiatives
AL NAFAY will reduce electricity consumption by 5% of KWH per lb or resin sold during the next 5 years (2014 baseline through year 2020).
- AL NAFAY utilizes an "Energy Dashboard" to monitor its ongoing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions for all of our facilities. The dashboard allows us to see plant by plant data on a monthly basis, with unit conversions for global communication.

- In addition to monitoring energy consumption at our facilities, AL NAFAY is also interested in reducing energy use and has created the below Sustainability Target to demonstrate our commitment to long-term sustainability.
Asset Modernization
- AL NAFAY is continually evaluating additional ways to modernize the assets at our production plants and improve our overall operational efficiency.
Secondary Packaging
- AL NAFAY works with its customers to eliminate secondary packaging whenever possible. Alternatives include multi-use shipping containers and plastic pallets, or eliminating cartons completely and instead utilizing trays, reusable totes or tier sheets
